Weight Loss: Most Embarrassing Story

Really not sure how I feel about sharing this, but it’s always been my intention to be honest and show the highs and lows of my journey.

Yesterday was weigh day. I’d indulged a couple of times over the bank holiday weekend so was feeling a bit bloated and totally expecting a gain. I was happy to only see 0.5lb up on the scales – I’ll take that!

To minimise any delayed damage from my wobbly weekend, I decided to commit to a perfect week. Nick & I wrote up our meal plan for the rest of the week and headed straight to Tesco to stock up on the bits we needed.

I was feeling good. I was in the zone and ready to smash this week..!

Anyway we get to Tesco and you know how there’s always one person who awkwardly follows you around and you bump into them on every isle??? Well this happened. She kept trying to get involved in our conversation and my attempts to speed up/slow down were unsuccessful.

We get a few isles in and then the dreaded moment. She says to me……

“When are you due, love?”Β shocked face

I was literally in shock and take a few moments to respond. All I could muster as some kind of response was “I’m not”.

Obviously this made things 1000X more awkward but we still could not get away from this woman!!!

She did apologise later on before leaving us alone but honestly I was already mortified!! This had never happened to me and I had no idea what to say or how to react.

I had never met this woman in my life and really not sure why she felt she had any right to make a comment like that?? Maybe she had good intentions but still?? Normally I wouldn’t let comments like this get to me, but this was something else?

This took me right down in a matter of seconds and it’s easy to see why people give up. But I cannot afford for this to be a block in the road. If anything, I need to use this to motivate me to do better and just take it in my stride. I refuse to let this comment ruin my progress and this does not take the light away from the fact that I’m 1st 4lb lighter, and counting!!

bump in the road quote

Please tell me I’m not the only one this has happened to?!

  1. Rude! Rude! Rude!
Do you know lovel, looking into this a little deeper, she is the one with the problem or NO friends! She followed a total stranger (to her) around Tescos in the first place, this tellls me maybe being the way she is she has chased all her friends away!!
Your a lovely girlie inside & out so stick that middle finger up with some zazz and ask yourself who probably has hell of a lot more friends πŸ˜πŸ‘β™₯️
